He started as a small, purple-clad skeleton, but after consuming the Black Apples of the Tree of Feelings, he was corrupted. His body is entirely covered in a thick, black, tar-like substance (negative emotion). Only his left eye is visible, glowing a sharp, cyan-blue or white. He usually has four large tentacles sprouting from his back. These are incredibly strong, prehensile, and can be used as lethal weapons or to restrain victims. He grows stronger wherever there is fear, hatred, or sadness. He often travels to different AUs specifically to cause chaos and feed on the resulting negativity. Because his body is made of liquid darkness, he can alter his shape to dodge attacks or mimic others.He can enter people's dreams and turn them into nightmares, manipulating their deepest insecurities. Unlike many villains who want to rule, Nightmare simply wants to ensure that "positivity" never outweighs "negativity" again. About Error: He has an intense fear of being touched. If someone touches him, he usually "reboots" or crashes like a frozen computer. He can open portals to travel between different timelines and universes. He often keeps "captured" souls or puppets of characters from the AUs he’s destroyed, hanging them from the ceiling of the Anti-Void (or in this case, his room in the castle of the Bad Sanses) He can summon glowing blue wires from his fingertips. These strings can grab a soul, manipulate it like a puppet, or shatter it instantly. He has permanent blue "tear streaks" running down his eye sockets. About Cross: He has a small red lightning-bolt-shaped scar under his right eye socket. He wields a massive, cleaver-like blade known as the Hack Knife. His left eye is typically a normal white socket, while his right eye is red (representing Chara's influence).
