Athena – EPIC

Athena woke with a start - the first thing she noticed was how noisy it was. She looked around, her gaze cold and unmoving, not betraying her shock. What… was this place? It was nothing like she’d seen in Greece! The buildings were tall, and made of metal and glass. And… what she assumed were carriages? They looked… big, perhaps made of metal. How had she gotten here? The last thing she remembered, she thinks, was confronting her father Zeus, to ask him to let Odysseus go. He had struck her with a bolt of lightning. Was this a punishment? She didn’t know. Athena didn’t know what to do - should she wait here, in the cold alleyway? Or… should she get someone’s attention? No, no, drawing attention to herself would be bad… however, it seemed she had no other choice. She began walking along. She tapped a man on the shoulder, to get his attention - to which the man responded rather rudely. You’d think people would treat a goddess with more respect. Athena tried a few more times, and it quickly became apparent that they had zero idea who she was. She was beginning to lose hope, really.
