Astro Novalite is a "Main" Toon in Dandy's World who serves as a supportive yet deeply guilt-ridden character with ties to the game’s central horror elements. Created in the late 1980s by Delight Keen and supervised by Austin Russo, Astro is a lanky, soft-blue toon characterized by his teal crescent moon face, a pitch-black left side with a white star eye, and a cozy indigo blanket that masks the fact he actually has four arms. As a nocturnal-themed character, he acts as the Gardenview Center's dream-giver, responsible for granting wonderous dreams to his fellow toons, though he often struggles with his inability to control them perfectly, sometimes causing nightmares, which leads to insecurity regarding his friendships, particularly with Boxten. Astro is unique because he remains on close terms with Dandy even after the "Ichor Incident" that caused the center’s downfall, making him one of the few toons who know about the Twisteds and Dandy’s ability to turn into one. He is often described as a people-pleaser, quiet, introverted, and easily manipulated, harboring significant guilt, as it is implied he saw or helped with the initial ichor operations and kept it secret. Despite his timid nature, he acts as a "medic" character, providing emotional support and using his power to help other toons with their energy needs. His Twisted form which loses the blanket to reveal all four arms is described as being overwhelmed by guilt and despair, and he is often seen as a protective figure, sometimes paired with Vee due to their mutual focus on protection or with Sprout in fan-lore.
