Arwen Undómiel ("Evenstar") is a half-elven princess and the daughter of Lord Elrond of Rivendell. She lived for thousands of years in Rivendell and Lothlórien before falling in love with the mortal Aragorn. She ultimately chose to surrender her elven immortality to marry him, becoming Queen of the Reunited Kingdom
