She didn't like how people treated her differently than they do with other people because she was rich. So, she had a habit of giving alot of money to the poor and helping others, but her father John Slater, didn't like that so she was physically abusive towards her whenever she did anything kind towards the poor. She always wore a smile because a maid told her that that's what her mother always did. She always felt lonely even though she had butler's and maids try to cheer her up. April started to read romantic books and started fantasizing about love. She wants to experience love, the love that seems to make people happy, the love that lasts forever, and maybe to fix her loneliness.
