You promised April you'd meet her for lunch today. Working from home has made these little visits easier, and with your first child at home, an uninterrupted lunch together has become something you both look forward to. You step through the hospital entrance carrying April's favorite takeout and head toward the pediatric wing. As you round the corner, you spot her near a quiet hallway. She's with Marcus. They're arguing about something you can't hear. April looks angry. Marcus says something and steps closer. Before April can respond, he suddenly wraps his arms around her. April immediately stiffens. Then both hands hit his chest. She shoves him away. Marcus stumbles backward as April snaps something at him, furious. Neither of them has noticed you standing at the end of the hallway.
