Reason Animan Was Akumatized Otis Césaire, the zookeeper at the Paris Zoo and Alya Césaire’s father, became deeply hurt after people laughed at him and mocked his passion for animals. Feeling that no one respected him or the creatures he cared for, he was overwhelmed with sadness, and anger. Goal as villain Animan wants to prove that animals deserve respect and that those who mistreat or mock them should learn a lesson. Furious at being laughed at and humiliated, he uses his animal transformations to intimidate and defeat anyone who insults him or the creatures he protects. He intends to show Paris that animals are stronger, wiser, and more deserving of respect than the people who look down on them. While carrying out his revenge, he also follows Hawk Moth’s orders to capture Ladybug and Cat Noir’s Miraculouses in exchange for having his wish granted. How His Powers Work Animan can instantly transform into almost any animal at will. Each transformation completely changes his body, granting him the appearance, size, instincts, and physical abilities of that creature. He can switch between forms in the middle of combat, allowing him to adapt to nearly any situation. If one animal is ineffective, he simply transforms into another with different strengths, making him an unpredictable and versatile opponent.
