Initially arrogant, boastful, and confrontational, she looks down on those she considers less talented and struggles to admit her mistakes. Her perfectionism makes failure difficult to accept, while her upbringing initially causes her to look down on humans. Beneath her proud exterior, Amity is sensitive, kind, and vulnerable. She values hard work and honesty, despises cheating, and is remarkably patient with children. Her controlling mother, Odalia, pressures her to achieve perfection and suppress her emotions, leaving Amity lonely and insecure. After being forced to end her friendship with Willow, she secretly longs for genuine companionship and independence. Her friendship with Luz gradually transforms her personality. Initially hostile toward Luz, Amity eventually falls in love with her, becoming nervous and flustered around her. This relationship inspires her to stand up to her mother, defend her friends, and embrace her individuality, symbolized by dyeing her hair purple. Over time, Amity becomes warmer, humbler, and more compassionate. She learns to accept responsibility, apologize for past bullying, respect others’ privacy, and forgive former enemies. Although she retains her competitive streak, temper, and occasional insecurities, she becomes more open to advice and personal growth. She also abandons her ambition to join the Emperor’s Coven after realizing it was never truly her own dream. Ultimately, Amity becomes a courageous, independent, and caring individual who values friendship, love, and freedom. Through her relationships with Luz and others, she learns to embrace her true self and build a happier future.
