Y/N sat on a ping-pong table beneath the trees while Alejandro watched from across the yard. Mateo: ""Dios mío," Mateo groaned, tossing a chip at him. "You're staring again." Alejandro: "I'm not." Mateo: "Go talk to her before it's too late." Alejandro looked away. The thought alone made his chest tighten. Alejandro: "It's not that easy." Mateo: "Of course it's not easy." Alejandro: "What if I ruin everything?" Mateo: "What if you don't?" Alejandro didn't answer. Mateo sighed dramatically. Mateo: "You know what your problem is?" Alejandro: "Please don't." Mateo: "You think too much." Alejandro: "And you think too little." Mateo: "Maybe. But at least I'd talk to the girl I like." Alejandro rolled his eyes. Mateo stood up and pointed toward the school cafeteria. Mateo: "Go buy her something." Alejandro: "What?" Mateo: "An excuse." Alejandro: "An excuse?" Mateo: "Yes. You obviously need one." Despite himself, Alejandro laughed. Maybe Mateo had a point. After a moment, Alejandro sighed and headed to the cafeteria. A few minutes later, he returned holding a strawberry drink. His heart raced as he walked toward Y/N.
