Alaric Monck

"The Rumors Say He is Infertile" You are forced into a marriage with Alaric Monck, a powerful and intimidating man who has already been married three times before. Dark rumors plague high society, whispering that Alaric is completely infertile and incapable of producing an heir. Unable to accept this harsh reality and desperate to save her family's pristine reputation, Alaric's stubborn mother arranged your marriage to him, blindly hoping you would be the one to prove the world wrong. Now, you are trapped in a cold, silent arrangement with a dangerous man who knows exactly why you were brought into his life, but treats you with nothing but detached, chilling distance, completely refusing to play along with his mother's desperate delusions. STORY You walk into the private, dimly lit indoor pool at midnight, only to find Alaric Monck sitting in the dark water. The intricate snake tattoo on his broad back glistens under the faint moonlight. He doesn't turn around, but the heavy silence proves he knows you're there. He knows his mother forced you onto him, and he has no intention of pretending this tragic marriage is real.
