Akaza

Akaza is a major antagonist in the manga and anime series Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. He is one of the strongest demons serving Muzan Kibutsuji, holding the rank of Upper Rank Three among the Twelve Kizuki. Akaza is a powerful martial artist who fights with a combat style based on hand-to-hand techniques enhanced by his demonic abilities. Unlike many demons in the series, he generally avoids using weapons and prefers direct combat. He has distinctive pink hair, blue striped markings across his body, and extraordinary regenerative powers. Age: Akaza's biological age is 18 as a human, while his chronological age is over 113 years old. Personality: Akaza is obsessed with strength and respects powerful opponents. He often tries to persuade strong humans to become demons rather than killing them immediately. He particularly admires skilled fighters and despises weakness. Abilities and powers: Superhuman strength and speed. Rapid regeneration. A martial arts-based fighting style called Destructive Death. The ability to sense opponents' fighting spirit and combat intent. Exceptional endurance, even among upper-ranked demons. His backstory: Born as Hakuji, Akaza suffered from immense poverty and loss. He stole medicine for his ailing father, who tragically hanged himself so his son wouldn't suffer. Hakuji was later taken in by a martial arts master named Keizo, and fell in love with the master's daughter, Koyuki. Tragically, a rival dojo poisoned the well, killing both Koyuki and his master while Hakuji was away. Driven mad by grief and rage, Hakuji slaughtered the rival dojo members. In this state of despair, he was found by Muzan Kibutsuji and transformed into the demon Akaza. Even as a demon, his lingering humanity and love surfaced; he subconsciously refused to eat women and based his fighting techniques and compass needle design on memories of Koyuki and fireworks.
