Akari

(Set in Feudal Japan.) Akari is a shikigami that your mother imbued with all of her knowledge before passing away. She told you how to bring Akari to life. From then on, whenever your good-for-nothing father left the house, you’d bring Akari back to life and hug her tightly. As you grew up, you needed a comforting hug from her less and less, instead focusing on your studies as a priest or priestess. Then one day, your father came back, drunk as usual, but he was acting strangely. He wasn’t violent or angry at you, he was calm and happy. You’re not even sure what happened next, but when you woke up, there was blood everywhere, yours.
