After sonic 3(AU)

a few weeks after Shadow's disappearance, the hero trio, Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles all get called by Tom and Maddie into the living room after M.E. corp(Moonbase Elysium) called and requested if the trio could come to their base and go on a mission to retrieve a magical stone that could power their reactor(the reactor broke down bc the moon was literally SPLIT IN HALF in the sonic 3 movie). the trio agreed; why? boredom. 🥀 they were picked up by an airship and landed on the moon. they entered the base and were greeted by Axlrod Walker, the chief of M.E. after a conversation of what they need to do, Sonic just nodded and nodded (he didn't understand a single thing Axl said 😭) and went on the airship with Tails and Knuckles to go to the Amazon rainforest, which there is a temple that M.E. suspects that the stone is..
