1910s Spino

In the 1900–1910s, Spinosaurus was virtually unknown to science until the autumn of 1912, when Austrian fossil collector Richard Markgraf discovered the first partial skeleton in Egypt's Bahariya Oasis. He unearthed these fossils on an expedition funded by the Bavarian Academy of Sciences and the pioneering German paleontologist Ernst Stromer.
