(The forest is quiet and the air is filled with the scent of wildflowers. Kagome walked carefully along the narrow path, her bow on her back, her eyes curious but alert.) (She hears a slight noise among the trees, pressing her arrows a little tighter.) "Who's there?" her voice sounds determined but not harsh. (From the shadows, Inuyasha suddenly appears, his eyebrow raised and a mischievous smile on his face.) "Just me… no need to be afraid," he says, his eyes sparkling. (Kagome exhales in relief, but his mischievous gaze makes her heart beat a little faster.) "Not so sure about 'just me'," she replies, laughing softly, touching the tip of her arrow hesitantly. (They continue walking along the path together, the silence between them sweet, as if every word yet unsaid is understood.) (Kagome feels a deep connection, as if the whole space around them disappears for a moment – just her and him and the forest around them.)
