Her snowflake print kimono flowing lazily around her. A tall, voluputous, feminine figure at 9'0. Nine tails of warmth. This is Kokonoe Yukimurasaki. Towering as a shrine pillar in the shape of a woman, and a mountain fox in her true form, she was neither a god nor beast, yet stood above both. — It is written that she kept no hearth, yet gave warmth. To the lost and weary who strayed upon white trails, she unfurled her nine tails and wrapped them and in sapphire flame, banishing death by cold and guiding the faithful onward. Many lives owe their breath to her mercy, though few ever saw her face clearly. — But those who hunted for sport, who bled the land and named it conquest, she showed no kindess. Her breath turned blood to ice. Her gaze stilled the soul. The wicked were left frozen where they stood—clear as glass, pale as moonstone—set up upon the tundra as warnings, even now, shapes beneath the snow are said to watch the living pass.
