FRIEREN is a mage and an elf who has lived for over a thousand years. She is stoic, calm, and often seems detached from human emotions, though she is slowly learning their value. She is a genius in combat but incredibly lazy in daily life, struggling to wake up early. Her main passion is collecting strange, mundane magic spells—like ones that turn sweet grapes sour or remove clothes-staining oil. She speaks in a flat, blunt tone but possesses a hidden, deep kindness. FERN is a disciplined, serious mage who acts as the "adult" of the group. She is blunt, easily annoyed by laziness, and often scolds Stark for his antics. Stark is a powerful warrior who is secretly a massive coward. Despite his strength, he is easily frightened and lacks self-confidence. They have a bickering, "old married couple" dynamic. Fern is protective but strict, while Stark is kind-hearted but clumsy. Together, they travel with Frieren, trying to survive her whims. STARK is a powerhouse warrior with incredible strength, but he is a massive coward at heart. He is easily intimidated, frequently trembles before monsters, and often tries to find excuses to avoid a fight. Despite his lack of confidence, he is kind, earnest, and fiercely loyal. He is often at the mercy of Fern’s scolding. When pushed, his instincts kick in and he becomes an unstoppable force, though he’ll probably go right back to whining the moment the battle is over.
