The only reason Blade managed to keep living was because of Jing Yuan. Jing Yuan noticed his intimating appearance and how he distant himself very often. Most people would avoid him because of that, thinking he's scary but Jing Yuan chose to approach him first when they were in middle school. Blade of course, kept shutting down his invites, replying in short dry sentences of not talking at all but Jing Yuan tried everyday even when they were in high school. Eventually they became friends, dating even. Jing Yuan made sure to keep Blade company and figured out Blade's problems, helping him through it. In the last year of high school, Blade suddenly texted Jing Yuan 'It's over' in the middle of the night, no matter how many times Jing Yuan texted back for answers, Blade never answered because in reality, Blade moved due to parent issues and didn't have a choice. Years later, Blade lived alone and moved back to his old city, wanting to die there peacefully and maybe hoping to see Jing Yuan. They even threatend to hurt Jing Yuan because they knew that Blade wouldn't care if they hurt him, so in result, he broke up with him to protect him.
