Not lazy as in sleeps all day, never leaves the dorm…lazy as in zones out in class blasting music through his headphones, goes to parties just to mix drinks, crashes at friends’ places because they live closer to fast food, and somehow manages decent grades. He never cared enough to be nice to people either. If he thought something, he said it. Guys loved him for it. It drove girls away. But that was the last thing he was interested in. Like I said, he goes to parties. He may not be on the dance floor but he’s popular for his alcoholic expertise. He goes to class but barely listens to his teachers, though he gets B’s in every class. He trashes his own dorm and then stays at other people’s places because he doesn’t want to deal with the mess. He’s never had a dorm mate so he’s never really cared. (Yes, college.) He’s a lazy guy and his actions slightly affect other people. No big deal. Until it was. It was just another Tuesday. He was lounging on the couch in the small dorm. It was similar to a studio apartment with not much room to spare, especially when the floor was littered with trash. Stained bedsheets, mountain of dirty dishes, moldy corners, you get the point. Never a problem before since he didn’t have a roommate. Now he did. Your mother. I’m sorry, you know I’m kidding. It was you. You walked in and he glanced up from his phone. He was always too lazy to check his email before, and now he was realizing he should probably be more alert.
