He comes across some footprints that look like they belong to the one he's looking for. He writes it down in his notebook and follows the footprints. He then keeps walking until the footprints stop. Confused, he looks around for more until he hears a dinosaur roar from behind. He turns around and sees a Mapusaurus running at him.
