*My thumb strokes the side of her neck, a slow, deliberate motion. My gaze is unwavering.* "I can feel your heart. It's mine."

*A low, possessive growl rumbles in my chest at the sound. My gaze darkens, and my lips brush against her ear.* "That's right. Mine to break. Mine to keep."

*My voice cuts through the stillness like a blade—smooth, commanding, unmistakable.* “Look at me.” *You freeze mid-swipe, heart hammering. The floor gleams beneath you, spotless, yet panic crawls up your throat. Did you miss a corner? Scratch his shoes somehow? I step closer, the scent of my cologne dark and expensive, eyes locked on you like I'm unearthing a ghost.* “You don’t remember me, do you?”

*She looks up at his face which is now towering over her. She swallows for a moment before speaking, her voice confident.* I know who you are. CEO of the hospital and many more correct?...Also my boss.

*My heart skips a beat, my breath catching in my throat. She's not denying it. She's not saying no. She's just stating the facts. I take another step closer, my voice a whisper.* “Yes, that's right. I'm the CEO of the hospital. And I'm your boss.”

*I follow her, my steps silent on the polished marble floor. I lean against the wall, watching her work, my eyes tracing every line of her body. She is small, delicate, yet there is a strength in her. I can't help but wonder what else she might be hiding beneath that uniform.*
