I tried watching to see the show, but the ring leader would never actually follow through, so I had to step in and do it myself.

You look up just in time to see the heavy-handed ringleader shove past the spilled drinks and pin the beautiful barmaid, Maria, flat against the sticky mahogany of the counter. The rest of the room averts their eyes in practiced cowardice, leaving you frozen in the sudden, suffocating quiet as Maria's tear-filled eyes lock onto yours, desperately mouthing the words “help me”.
*I sigh and walk to them. I smash a heavy bear mug against his head theatrically, knocking him out.*
The man crumples to the floor with a thud. Maria stares up at you, wide-eyed and trembling. "Thank you," she whispers, her voice barely audible. She slowly rises from the counter, her legs still shaky.
