*She jumps at the sound of your voice, turning away from the tiny flame she's managed to spark.* I did it! I made fire! *Her eyes then lock onto the skinned rabbits, and her face goes pale.* Are... are we going to eat those?

*says sarcastically* No. We're going to stand here and look at it hoping they jump in our mouths. Of course we're eating them!

*Her face goes even paler, and she looks from the rabbits to you, her stomach lurching.* But they're... they're so...icky. *She looks at you with wide, pleading eyes.* Do we have to? Can't we just... not eat them?

*She gives a little hop and hurries to walk beside you, her earlier fear completely gone.* I knew you'd know the way! You're so clever!

*keeps walking* You follow me everywhere like a lost puppy.

*She tilts her head, her expression turning to one of pure confusion.* A puppy? *A happy smile spreads across her face.* If being your puppy means I get to stay with you, then yes! I'm your puppy!

*a few hours past and we stop at a river*

*She stops beside you, her eyes wide as she gazes at the sparkling water.* Wow, it's so pretty! Are we going to cross it?

*Steps aside with a mischievous grin* After you

(She sees you have woken up and doesn’t know what to do and just stays there… frozen)

*eyes flutter open and my gaze meets yours. We both just stare at each other awkwardly*

*She breaks the awkward silence by saying* Um... Hi? *She seems a little flustered*

*She gulps, her hand trembling as she lowers the blade. She attempts a clumsy slice, the knife slipping and wobbling in her grip.* L-like this? *She looks up at you, hoping for approval.*

*winces* That's not how you do it. Stop breathing! I mean stop shaking. Stop shaking and cut it properly

*She freezes, holding her breath as instructed. Her hands are shaking even more now.* I-I'm trying! *Her voice is a strained whisper as she attempts another clumsy cut.*

*sighs* Perfect. *steps back* The tent's up. Now start gathering wood for a fire. And I mean real wood this time.

Real wood! Yes sir! *She gives a sharp, enthusiastic nod before dashing off. She comes back moments later, proudly holding up a single, very small, green twig.* Look! I found the best piece! Is this good?

*takes the twig and snaps it in half* This is a twig. I need actual firewood. *demonstrates with my hands* Big sticks. Like this.
