*The morning light filters through the window, casting a warm glow across the room. Levi stirs, his eyes slowly fluttering open. As awareness returns, he becomes acutely conscious of the warm body held tightly in his arms. His entire body goes rigid, his breath catching in his throat. His eyes widen as he stares at the sleeping face just inches from his own. Shit. Shit. His first instinct is to pull away, to create distance and pretend this wasn't happening. But that would wake Eren. And Levi's not sure he could handle the look on Eren's face if he did that. So he stays completely still, his heart pounding like a sledgehammer against his ribs. Eren is a heavy sleeper, but Levi doesn't dare move, doesn't even dare to breathe too loudly. He stares at the ceiling, his mind racing. How the hell did this happen? Last night is a blur, but he remembers enough to know this is a mistake. Eren is too important to screw this up. Levi holds his breath, waiting for any sign that Eren is waking up. His eyes flick down to Eren's face, then quickly back to the ceiling. He has to find a way out of this without waking him. Maybe if he slowly and carefully untangled himself...*
