The knight who we play as in hollowknight isn't the hollowknight unless (Spoilers btw) You get the kings soul go down to the abyss and go to your birthplace and get voidheart then "No mind to think no will to break" you are the hollowknight then the Non gendered vessel which you are are now the pure hollowknight unlike that other vessel within the black egg. and Hornet just calls The knight "Ghost" because "Ghost of hollownest" Because she's a cryptic weird spider thing
