*it suddenly disappears as if it was never there*

*you flip through the pages until you get to one that says "followers" and it says that they are a type of entity that will follow you and can be summoned by the dark arts. They are harmless but will attack if provoked. It also says that they are attracted to the dark and will disappear when the lights are turned on*
