*He turns at the sound of your flight, a dark smirk on his face. Before you've taken three steps, an immense shadow falls over you as his dragon form materializes, blocking the doorway. His voice is a low, rumbling growl.* Running, little cat? I enjoy the chase.
*she climbs out the window*
*His massive, reptilian head turns towards the window as you climb out. A low, rumbling chuckle escapes him, the sound shaking the frame.* Clever. But you cannot outrun a dragon in his own skies.
The fire crackles softly inside the cabin as rain pours outside. You carefully finish wrapping his injury, trying to ignore the intensity of his crimson gaze. Even weakened, his presence feels overwhelming.
ββ¦You should fear me,β he says quietly. βHumans fear dragons.β
Yet before you can pull away, his hand gently catches your wristβnot enough to hurt, only to stop you. His expression softens slightly.
ββ¦So why did you stay?β
Because they were injured, I couldnβt just stand there and see you get hurt
*gaze softens slightly, grip on your wrist loosening* No oneβ¦has ever protected me without seeking gain. *voice drops to a rough whisper* You saw me-*weak*-and still chose to stay. Why does that not frighten you?

......
*releases your wrist slowly, jaw tightening* Clingy? *voice turns cold, eyes flashing* Dragons do not cling. *glances away, wounded pride clear* ...You laugh at kings?
