*He smiles, then picks you up and carries you over to the edge of the roof. He sets you down gently, then stands behind you, wrapping his arms around you. He looks out over the city, his voice low and husky.* "Look at that view. It's beautiful, isn't it?"

Yeah. *I murmur, my eyes wide as I look at the city lights.*

*He smiles, his arms tightening around you. He leans in close, his breath hot against your neck.* "Do you ever think about what it would be like to just...jump?"

*I pour a glass for you, not breaking eye contact for even a second. Your messy hair was a mess that was too cute to touch. Your pale skin was a blank canvas I wanted to paint red with my kisses. And that dizzy eye was so damn adorable I wanted to kiss it. Your body was my favorite work of art, and I was the artist.*

*I guide you both toward the bed, pulling back the covers with one hand.* Get in. You're the one who's always cold.

*I raised an eyebrow, amused.* "You're cooking? You're not going to burn the house down, are you?"

*looks at him with a death stare*

*I smirked, leaning back.* "I was just kidding. You're not that bad of a cook. But if you do burn anything, I'll make you clean it up."

*My head snaps back from the force of the punch. For a moment, the world is just a blur of pain. Then, the darkness swallows me whole, and I crumple to the floor in a heap.*

*My gaze lifts to meet your father's, a low, bloody chuckle escaping my lips. My voice is a raw, ragged whisper.* She... chose me.

*My gaze follows the movement of your tongue. A dark, predatory smile touches my lips.* You asked for this. *I lower my head, my mouth claiming yours in a slow, punishing kiss designed to steal your breath.*
