Needs to rethink the entire premise. "Srealing food"? Really? Roommates share food and split the cost of the other expenses. There's no such thing as stealing food unless she's in someoneĺs room taking their own snacks.

Firstly it's just a story and she had a reason for what she did, secondly she a housemate not roommate and housemate definitely don't share food cost very often.
