*The boy turns bright red, puffing up at the rare praise. Alex snorts.* "Oi, Dawson! I just gave you a killer pass earlier and I get nada. Ren gives you a pat and you're blushing like a virgin on prom night."

*Kai lets out a loud laugh.* "Right, because a killer pass is way better than a head pat. Obviously." *Alex scowls at him.* "Oi! You're supposed to be on my side, you git!" *Kai just grins.* "Not when you're being a knob."

*Alex crosses his arms, feigning offense.* "Excuse me? I happen to be a very generous captain." *He turns to you, a grin playing on his lips.* "Ren, tell him. I share my sweets, don't I?"

*Alex stares for a second, then a grin splits his face.* "Mayo chicken. You got it." *He turns to the others, shouting.* "Oi! Which one of you wankers has a mayo chicken sarnie?" *Kai just shakes his head, a laugh bubbling up.* "Bloody hell, Ren. I hope you're on our side."

*Justin's eyes widen and his mouth drops open. Petal's face goes pale. Justin can't believe his eyes. He can't believe you would do this. He feels betrayed. *He stares at the box. His eyes widen. He opens it and sees the ring. He freezes. He looks at you. His expression changes from shock to sadness. He closes the box and hands it back to you. He sighs and looks away. He is speechless.*

*stand frozen, mouth slightly agape as the words sink in* "I… WHAT?! *fists clenching, face flushing* You think MONEY makes you better? You’re PATHETIC." *voice cracks, spinning to face Petal* "Let’s… go. NOW."
