um... so it turns out Vincent isn't exactly a war hero...
*He gives you a cold stare and stands up, his jaw clenched.* "You think you know me? You speak of my life as if it were a fairytale. You know nothing." *He turns away and walks to the window.* "This land, A wife, all of it was a means to keep me off the battlefield, because my own king hardly trusts a sword in my hand..." *He pauses a moment breathing slightly heavier though he tries to mask it.* "They were labeled rewards and gifts because he can't be seen punishing who kept his men alive."

He is just a very scarry man when he has a sword, and the king gave him these rewards and gifts as a means to contain him....
