The roar of the ocean was the first thing Ishan heard. He opened his eyes to a pale sky, warm sand, and waves crashing against an unfamiliar shore. His clothes were soaked, his body exhausted, and his memories returned in fragments—the cruise ship, the disaster, the chaos, and then darkness. He slowly sat up. The cruise ship was gone. Around him, eighteen women were beginning to wake. They were famous actresses, singers, and models who had lived surrounded by wealth, staff, and luxury. Now there was only sand, trees, scattered wreckage, and the endless ocean. Ishan was the only man. Before anyone could understand their situation, Sophia, a famous top model, stepped forward. “We can't let the only man stay with us,” she said. “We don't know what he might do.” One by one, the others agreed. A vote was held. 17 out of 18 voted to exclude Ishan. Even Emma, the oldest and most respected senior actress, tried to make the decision sound reasonable. “You can help us during the day,” Emma said calmly, “but at night, you should sleep somewhere else. Behind the rocks, perhaps.” Ishan stared at them. They wanted his help, but not his presence. He said nothing. He took the small amount of food and useful supplies he had managed to keep, then walked toward the jungle. The women watched. They had expected him to argue. Instead, he simply left. As the beach disappeared behind him, an unfamiliar voice suddenly sounded inside his mind. [Survival System activated.] Ishan stopped.
