0Story 2 – Midnight Garden
The Kingdom of Valerion was quiet beneath the glow of the full moon. While the palace slept, Prince Alexander slipped out of his chambers and made his way to the royal garden, the only place where he could escape the endless responsibilities of being the future king.
The garden was unlike any other. Moonflowers glowed with silver light, crystal streams reflected the stars, and ancient trees stood as silent guardians over the land. Legends claimed the garden had been blessed by forest spirits long before the kingdom was built.
Prince Alexander often visited this place whenever he felt overwhelmed. Within the peaceful garden, he could forget about royal ceremonies, political meetings, and the expectations placed upon him since childhood. For a little while, he could simply enjoy the beauty of the night.
Unknown to the prince, his personal knight, Sir Elijah, had noticed his nightly disappearances. Rather than reporting them to the king, Elijah quietly followed from a distance each night to make sure Alexander remained safe. His duty was to protect the prince, even if it meant guarding him without being seen.
As the nights passed, a silent routine formed between them. Prince Alexander wandered through the glowing flowers while Sir Elijah watched over him from nearby. Their trust grew without the need for many words. The prince found comfort in knowing someone was always there, while the knight became devoted not only to his duty but also to the prince's happiness.
One midnight, the ancient magic of the garden awakened. Every flower bloomed at once, filling the air with shimmering light. Tiny butterflies made of magic danced among the blossoms, and the crystal pond reflected a sky brighter than ever before.
The old legends spoke of this rare event. The garden only revealed its true beauty to two people connected by unwavering loyalty and pure hearts. It was a blessing that appeared only once in generations.
