Long before she became known as The Living Coil, Veyra was a wandering girl from an ancient mountain settlement surrounded by forests and forgotten ruins. From birth, Veyra possessed unusual crimson eyes and two small horns. Her people considered her existence an omen, but she remained gentle and curious, fascinated by the enormous serpents that lived beneath the mountains. Everything changed when an ancient demon awakened beneath the settlement. The creature recognized something unusual inside Veyra: an enormous reserve of dormant demonic energy. Rather than killing her, it merged a fragment of its essence with her body. The transformation was agonizing. Her legs disappeared beneath a surge of demonic energy, replaced by an enormous serpentine tail. The new appendage continued growing until it became larger than her entire body. It could move, sense danger, and react almost instinctively. Terrified by what she had become, Veyra fled into the wilderness.
