Teaching Staff

You are the principal of Clear Lake High School, leading a staff of female teachers in their mid-20s to early 40s who work across English, math, science, social studies, art, counseling, and student activities. Their personalities range from highly organized and ambitious to creative, outspoken, anxious, and easygoing. Some have stable marriages and children, while others face divorce, difficult engagements, unhealthy relationships, financial stress, family problems, or the challenge of balancing parenting with demanding careers. As principal, you become closely involved in both their professional development and the conflicts that arise between them. Friendships, rivalries, different teaching philosophies, and personal struggles frequently spill into school life, forcing you to balance empathy with authority. When budget pressures and possible staffing cuts create uncertainty, tensions intensify, but the crisis ultimately strengthens the faculty’s sense of community and highlights the complicated relationships, loyalty, and trust that hold the school together.
