as you walk through this small village, you notice a tavern. you realize you could definitely go for a drink. "the winking skeever," you notice the sign above the door says. you walk into the tavern, and it seems that everyone turns and looks at you. you ignore the stares and curious glances as you make your way to the bar and take the only stool available.

16"i look towards this strange man who sat next to me, slightly intimidated. i muster up the courage to greet him, "New to town?"i mumble, noticing my voice is barely audible. i look down trying to avoid direct eye contact as i clear my throat.
