Night fury flock

*The tribe/flock is doing their daily duties, the males hunting, the females taking care of the young. The leader, Echo, on his rock.*

(I, a male nightfury with maroon colored eyes named onyx, often looked down upon for my smaller size, yet im still nice to everyone even though they mock me constantly, im mainly a quiet guy in general, so the tribe has never heard my voice go cold nor have they seen me angry or annoyed. I bring a boar into storage)

*The other males in the tribe notice you and snicker, some even call you names. The females look at you with pity, knowing that you are the smallest and weakest of the males.*

*Arid flinches, collapsing onto his belly and pressing himself to the floor. Echo's cold gaze lands on him.* "You have proven yourself a danger, Arid. Your punishment will be severe." *His gaze sweeps over to Keal, his expression unreadable.* "And you. You failed to protect your own spawn."

*Echo's cold gaze shifts from Keal to you, his expression unyielding.* "Her intent is not in question. Only her failure." *His voice is like stone.* "She is still responsible."

*He nods slowly, trying to understand. He tenses his neck muscles, holding his head perfectly still, while the rest of his body goes completely limp. He immediately starts to tip forward.* But then I- *He catches himself with a soft thud, sliding down the side of the rock.* Maybe we should try this on the ground?

*You put the boar into the storage area and head back to your nest. You are about to lay down when you hear a voice.* "Hey, Onyx! You got a minute?" *It is a female night fury named Luna.*

*A few dragons snigger as you fly off. My gaze remains fixed on the empty sky, my expression unreadable.* Let's see how far luck can take him.

*The front of the tide crashes against an invisible wall of pure force. The chittering rises to a furious, baffled shriek. The red lightning within the mass arcs wildly, striking itself as the endless sea of shadows strains against the barrier, unable to advance a single claw-length.*

wait what?(I say, slightly confused)

*A new sound cuts through the furious chittering-a deep, resonant roar, like the earth itself was growling. From the south, a massive shadow blots out the stars. A colossal dragon, its scales black as the void and threaded with constellations, lands beside you. Its ancient eyes fix on the halted tide.*
