He took off his shoes and jumped in. He didn’t notice the sign that said “Run before it’s too late” but a few seconds later the water went still as if Huston never went in. Then Rosie whispered “one, Two, he’s coming for you, Three, Four, you’ll breathe no more, Five, Six, you’ll float like sticks, seven, eight, you’ll meet your fate, Nine, Ten, he comes again. Freaked out, Malachi ran home and came back with adults. This time there was no pond or this Rosie girl. The only thing was Hustons shoes and a sign that says “I warned you” signed “The caretaker” in dripping red.

Later they found Hustons body at the bottom of Virginia Beach Lake. Then they had a funeral and Malachi and Hustons older sister Sage were there and now at the park there’s a memorial for Rosie and Huston. Rosie’s says “my only dream, is to play the Cello and make my own music” and Hustons says “what brings people Joy? Some is Hugs, others is Family, but me? It’s playing the Guitar or piano” on a bench. Now Malachi and Sage sit as the Bench everyday together to remember Huston and his bright, Spirtful soul.
